We rode for miles through the Francis Marion National Forest while in SC.
For me, this forest is a reminder of when Matthew and I lived in
Charleston. The National Forest covers a huge number of acres, and suffered
tremendous damage during Hurricane Hugo. It was comforting to ride through
it and see how well the Forest has recovered.

I am so glad you got a picture of my old friend, Smoky the Bear. When I was a child I belonged to his fan club and am still a huge fan. I haven't seen him for years.
