Surf City, Part 3

Turns out that a few years ago, Scott was part of the crew that opened the REI in Buford, near our home in Lawrenceville. Odd how things turn out; we may have met Scott during the Grand Opening. After a long dinner and great conversation, the NC crowd needed to pack up and head back home. We said our goodbyes, exchanged e-mail addresses, and then we coasted back to our room at the Island Inn. The room there was pleasant and roomy enough for our trailers. We left our bikes under the covered patio right outside our room, with few worries that they'd be disturbed in the night. Our trip on Saturday would take us through Swansboro, and end near Bogue Sound--a trip of about 54 miles.
